WebGen Wins Buildy Award at BuilConn

Intelligent Use of Energy System Cited as ‘Best New Product’

The Buildy Award Program celebrates the North American organizations and individuals who best support the vision of networked building systems. The Buildy Awards are given in four categories: Vision, Best Integration, Best New Product and Best Building. The Best New Product category honors a manufacturer whose new product or service overcame a significant challenge, or enhanced or simplified the integration process.

The award cites WebGen's energy management system as a key new product that enhances the integration of buildings and helps overcome significant challenges in efficient building management. WebGen's IUE Suite has been designed to easily integrate all legacy and Open System building automation platforms via XML, BACnet, LonWorks, and various other communication protocols; it serves as a complementary product to existing systems. IUE allows building owners to assemble information and optimize control of multiple buildings with dissimilar building automation systems via any web browser.

IUE provides building owners and managers with a predictive, automated energy management solution that reduces energy costs and improves energy efficiency with minimal impact on tenant comfort. The system conserves scarce energy resources, reduces energy expenditures and provides detailed accounting of reduced energy use and corresponding dollar savings.

“We are honored that our peers have chosen IUE for this award. WebGen continually strives to be an industry leader by offering the most effective Enterprise Energy Management solution to the marketplace,” said Mark Noyes, president and chief operating officer, WebGen Systems. “Enterprise Energy Management is the future, and we are thrilled to be able to provide our customers a vehicle to help them manage and reduce their energy usage at the enterprise level.”

About the show, Noyes remarked, “Anto Budiardjo has made BuilConn a must-attend event for the industry. We look forward to next year's show.”
